Increase Asset Utilization of expensive Test Devices
Customer: Hi-Tech Networking Lab
Problem Statement:
To trace and track expensive networking cards (8" x 12") and their respective chassis in a 20,000 sq. ft. lab space, at any given instance, to increase the asset utilization. Apart from the small size of the cards, the complexity of the problem was compounded by an environment with very high RF noise levels from large number of electrical devices and the reflection of RF signals by the metal chassis, cabinets, and racks in the labs.
Solution:
The problem was solved using a UHF RF infrastructure and the AssetTrace platform from Keytone Technologies. The key to the solution was the calibration of the infrastructure and orientation of the antennae.
Customer: Hi-Tech Engineering Lab
Problem Statement:
To track expensive 6" probes at any given instance for calibration, in a 16,000 sq. ft. lab space, and reduce their re-purchase. Another challenge was to avoid any RF interference with the highly sensitive test and measurement equipment.
Solution:
The problem was solved using the AssetTrace platform from Keytone Technologies and a UHF RF infrastructure. The key to the solution was in the size of the active tags, the calibration of the infrastructure and orientation of the antennae.
